Basic pesto sauce. You have add the cheese while using it in the final dish(pasta, panini sandwich etc). This way you can store it for a longer time and it stays fresh till the end.

Recipe Ingredients for Homemade Pesto

1 cup basil
1 cup cilantro
2 tbsp pine nuts
4 cloves garlic
1/2 tsp salt
2 tbsp olive oil
2 tbsp lemon juice

Recipe Directions for Homemade Pesto

  1. Dry roast the pine nuts in a pan until they lose the raw taste.

  2. Add all the ingredients in a food processor and make a coarse paste.

  3. Refrigerate.
