8 ounces cream cheese (softened)
2 tablespoons butter (softened)
1/4 cup heavy cream

Recipe Directions for Homemade Mascarpone Cheese substitute

  1. Be sure cream cheese and butter are very soft.

  2. With an electric mixer, beat cream cheese. Beat in butter. Gradually beat in heavy cream until all is well-combined.

  3. Store refrigerated in an air tight container.
