A healthier alternative to sauce from a jar!

Recipe Ingredients for Homemade Marinara

2 cup, chopped or sliced Tomatoes, Red, Ripe
2 cup Petite Cut Diced Tomatoes
2 cup Petite Cut Diced with Garlic and Olive Oil
4 clove Garlic
2 1tsp Olive Oil
1 cup, chopped Squash, Summer, Zucchini, Includes Skin
1/4 cup leaves, whole Basil, Fresh

Recipe Directions for Homemade Marinara

  1. Slice/finely dice garlic.

  2. Slice zucchini to desired size/shape.

  3. Dice Fresh Tomato.

  4. In a medium sized pot, heat olive oil then add garlic.

  5. When garlic starts turning brown, add canned tomatoes, fresh tomatoes, and zucchini.

  6. Let simmer for about 20 minutes. Turn off pot, and let cool. Using either a hand blender, or a regular blender, process sauce to desired chunkiness. Return to pot, and add fresh basil, letting simmer another 10 minutes.
