Recipe Ingredients for Homemade Mac N Cheese

3 tbsp Light Stick
6 oz 2% Milk Reduced Fat Mild Cheddar
1/4 cup Wheat Flour, White, All-purpose, Enriched, Bleached
2 tbsp chopped Onions
1 cup Milk, Nonfat, Fluid
6 oz Smart Taste Rotini
1 cup Natural Goodness 100% Fat Free All Natural Chicken Broth Rtsb
1/4 cup Parmesan, Grated Cheese

Recipe Directions for Homemade Mac N Cheese

  1. Cook pasta in salted water according to package directions. Spray a baking dish with buttered flavor Pam. Preheat oven to 375.

  2. In a large, heavy skillet, melt butter. Add flour and cook over low heat stirring with a whisk. Add onion and cook another 2 minutes. Add milk and chicken broth and continue whisking, raising heat to medium-high until it comes to a boil and becomes smooth and thick. Season with salt and pepper.

  3. Once it becomes thick, remove from heat, add cheese and mix well until cheese is melted. Adjust salt and pepper to taste, add cooked macaroni. Pour into baking dish. Top with grated cheese. Spray a little more buttered flavor Pam on top.

  4. Bake for 15-20 minutes.
