This does have some sugar from the canned tomato puree. I have found that the Contadina brand canned tomato puree has the least amount of sugar. This is also much lower in sodium than any store-brand ketchup.

Recipe Ingredients for Homemade Low Sugar/Low Sodium Ketchup

3 cups of canned tomato puree
2 tsp of onion powder
1/2 tsp ground cloves
1/2 tsp allspice
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 cup of white vinegar
4 tsp of Splenda

Recipe Directions for Homemade Low Sugar/Low Sodium Ketchup

Put everything except the Splenda in a saucepan and simmer slowly over a low heat for 1 1/2 hours stirring often. Take off heat and cool, then stir in the Splenda.
