Pepperjack and cheddar mac and cheese

Recipe Ingredients for Homemade jack-mac and cheese

16 ounces Elbow macaroni
8 ounces pepperjack cheese
8 ounces cheddar cheese
3 tbsp butter
1 cup reduced fat milk
1 tbsp flour

Recipe Directions for Homemade jack-mac and cheese

  1. in a sauce pan make a rue with the tbsp of flour and a tbsp of butter, cook on low heat for 3-4 minutes.

  2. in another pot bring water to boil and cook entire box of macaroni.

  3. add 1 cup of milk to the rue and stir till the milk has become thick, cook on medium to low heat making sure not to burn or curdle the milk.

  4. after the milk has thickened, add the cheese (make sure it has been shredded or cut small for it to melt quicker) and stir till all cheese has bee melted.

  5. Add in last 2 tbsp of butter plus pepper to taste.
