A nice addition to this is a couple of tablespoons of chopped sun dried tomatoes. This is well below the sodium level of any commercial dressing, but if you make your own mustard that will reduce the sodium content even more.

Recipe Ingredients for Homemade Italian Dressing

1/4 cup Extra Virgin Olive Oil
1/2 cup Vinegar
2 tablespoons Dijon Mustard
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon splenda
1 teaspoon basil
1 teaspoon oregano
1/2 teaspoon rosemary

Recipe Directions for Homemade Italian Dressing

Add all ingredients in a jar with a tight fitting lid, shake well. Keep in fridge and shake each time before using.
