a simple high protien treat. eat a little with a 100 calorie pack of crackers or a small pita. A little of this goes a long way.

Recipe Ingredients for Homemade hummus

1 3/4 cup garbanzo beans
4 tablespoons tahini
1 tablespoon canola oil
1 tablespoon lemon juice

Recipe Directions for Homemade hummus

  1. open and drain a can of Garbanzo beans (chick peas)

  2. rince them well

  3. put beans in a food processor with the tahini, the oil and the lemon juice

  4. Season to taste with any seasoning, I use old bay and montreal beef seasoning

  5. Blend, stoping and stirring it up if nessasary, until you have a nice creamy paste

  6. Spoon into a storage container or a serving bowl and enjoy on crackers, pitas or anything you choose.
