Homemade Hummus, used as a dip or spread.

Recipe Ingredients for Homemade Hummus

2 cups chickpeas
1/4 cup of lemon juice
1/2 tsp of ground cumin
3 tbsp of tahini paste
2 cloves garlic
1 tbsp olive oil

Recipe Directions for Homemade Hummus

  1. Place the chickpeas, lemon juice, ground cumin, tahini and garlic in a food processor.

  2. Puree until the mixture is quite smooth but has a little texture. If the hummus is a little too thick, you can add some of the juice from the canned chickpeas or add a splash of water.
