Delicious. My favorite diet recipe so far. I eat it with eggs for breakfast or with fruit for lunch or dinner.

Recipe Ingredients for Homemade Hash

4 small red potatoes
1 large onion
3 cups cabbage, raw
3 cloves garlic
2 T olive oil
16 oz. hamburger, 75% lean, 25% fat, pan broiled, crumbles
1 salt and pepper

Recipe Directions for Homemade Hash

  1. Chop the potatoes into small dices, as in hash browns. Begin to cook them in oil.

  2. Meanwhile, brown and drain fat from hamburger.

  3. When potatoes are half done, add cabbage, onion, and garlic. Salt and pepper the living daylights out of it.

  4. Cook on medium heat until potatoes are done. May need more oil as you go along. Add the hamburger and serve.
