This gravy can be made from light to dark brown gravy.

Recipe Ingredients for Homemade Gravy

1/4 cup vegetable oil
6 tbs. flour
6 cups beef stock

Recipe Directions for Homemade Gravy

Put 1/4 cup vegetable oil in cast iron pan. Heat oil until it ripples then add 6 tbs. flour. Stir until it is the color brown you desire.When flour is desired color add the 6 cups of stock a little at a time while stirring the gravy mixture. When gravy reaches its consistency, turn fire off & pour in gravy boat.Serve over potatoes or biscuits or favorite meats.
