Homemade granola with oats, flax and shredded coconut.

Recipe Ingredients for Homemade Granola

6 cups rolled oats
1 cup wheat germ
1 cup shredded coconut
1/2 cup flax seed meal
1/4 cup sliced almonds
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 tsp vanilla
1/4 cup coconut oil
1/2 cup boiling water

Recipe Directions for Homemade Granola

  1. Boild water and then add coconut oil and brown sugar to it. Mix dry ingredients in large baking pan, add the water mixture and stir until combined.

  2. Bake at 325 degrees for an hour (or until dry and crisp) stirring every 10 minutes. Turn off oven and leave in oven overnight or for a few hours to dry out even more.
