Makes 24 servings



Makes 2 cookies sheets. I estimated the number of servings. With 8c. of oatmeal, it turned out very crumbly. I will use 5 or 6 cups next time and add in 1/2 cup more at a time to make sure that it sticks together.

Recipe Ingredients for Homemade Granola

1 cup butter
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon cinnamon
8 cups of quick oats (May need to use less)

Recipe Directions for Homemade Granola

In a large, 4-quart saucepan, melt the maragrine or butter and the brown sugar together. Stir it up and let it simmer for 2 to 3 minutes. Add the salt and the cinnamon, then the oatmeal. Remove pot from the heat and stir until all the oatmeal is coated. Spread the granola onto 2 cookie sheets (with sides) and bake at 375 degrees for 10 minutes, until golden brown. Cool granola completely on pan, then break up into pieces and transfer to a container. Add raisins or nuts if desired.
