Healthy granola - about 1/2 cup serving size

Recipe Ingredients for Homemade granola

4 cups rolled oats
3/4 cup sunflower seeds, raw
3/4 cup wheat germ
1 cup coconut, raw
1/2 cup pumpkin seeds, raw
1/2 cup cashews, raw
2 tsp salt (optional)
1/3 cup flax seeds
1 cup water
3/4 cup honey, raw
1/4 cup molasses
2 tsp vanilla

Recipe Directions for Homemade granola

  1. Mix first seven ingredients

  2. Grind flax seeds in Vitamix to break them down a little and add to the mixture

  3. In separate pan combine the rest of the ingredients and heat until melted

  4. Add to the mixture and stir until all ingredients are moist

  5. Place in 300 degree oven and bake until mixture turns brown
