Delicious homemade granola - goes wonderfully with organic Greek yogurt. Serving size - 1/2 cup.

Recipe Ingredients for Homemade granola

4 cups uncooked oats
1/2 cup dried blueberries
1/2 cup dried cranberries
1/2 cup golden raisins
2 tbsp. ground flaxseed
1 cup sliced almonds
1/8 cup chopped walnuts
1/8 cup chopped pecans
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 cup cooking oil
1/4 cup honey
1 tsp. vanilla

Recipe Directions for Homemade granola

  1. Mix oats, nuts, flaxseed, brown sugar, salt, & cinnamon.

  2. In a saucepan, warm honey, oil, & vanilla. Pour this mixture over the oat mixture and stir well until blended. It's very important to mix well - you want to be sure all of the oatmeal mixture is coated with the honey mixture.

  3. Spread the granola mix on a cookie sheet and bake for 30 minutes at 300 degrees - stirring the mixture every 10 minutes.

  4. Remove from the oven and allow to cool. The mixture will harden as it cools, so you will need to break it apart in order to add the fruit. You can break it into large chunks or smaller chunks - whichever you prefer. Add fruit and store in an airtight container.
