A healthy, very filling, granola to eat with milk or yogurt

Recipe Ingredients for Homemade granola

8 cups rolled oats
2 cups wheat germ
1 1/2 cups flax seed
1 cup almonds, raw and chopped
3/4 cup brown sugar
3/4 cup canola oil
3/4 cup water

Recipe Directions for Homemade granola

  1. Mix oil, water and sugar together

  2. Add rest of ingredients

  3. spread on cookie sheet - low sided pan

  4. Roast 1 hr (or until dry) @ 250 degrees, stirring occasionally

  5. Store in covered container

  6. *If using roasted almonds, add after roasting other ingredients
