Delicious, homemade croutons without all the processed stuff!

Recipe Ingredients for Homemade Croutons

2 cups bread (multi grain/whole wheat), cut into crouton size chunks
2 tablespoons oil
2 teaspoons pepper
2 teaspoons kosher salt
2 teaspoons garlic powder

Recipe Directions for Homemade Croutons

  1. Preheat oven to 450.

  2. Cut bread into bite size chunks. Put in medium size bowl.

  3. Add oil, pepper, salt and garlic powder to bread chunks and mix with hands.

  4. Place on cookie sheet and bake for 10 minutes or until bottom of chunks are golden brown and crispy.

  5. Leave croutons in oven and turn to broil setting. Do not flip croutons as this setting will brown the top.

  6. Once golden brown, remove from oven and let cool.

  7. Add to salad, or have as a snack!
