Recipe Ingredients for Homemade Cornbread

1 cup cornmeal
1 cup all-purpose flour
4 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1 cup skim milk
1 egg
1/4 cup canola oil

Recipe Directions for Homemade Cornbread

  1. Combine corn meal, flour, baking powder, and salt.

  2. Add milk, egg, and canola oil.

  3. Beat until fairly smooth, about 1 minute.

  4. Bake in greased iron skillet in preheated hot oven (425 degrees) 20 to 25 minutes.
