Yummy cinnamon rolls made from scratch, served hot and steamy. No sugar glaze and other added flavorings.

Recipe Ingredients for Homemade Cinnamon Rolls

6 cups whole wheat flour
3 cups sugar
4 teaspoon yeast
5 tablespoon butter
2 cups water
1 egg
5 teaspoon cinnamon

Recipe Directions for Homemade Cinnamon Rolls

  1. Using a bread machine or a food processor, mix together: flour, 1.5 cup sugar, yeast, and 3.5 tablespoon butter, egg, and lukewarm water.

  2. Process and knead.

  3. Set aside and let it rise or until doubled.

  4. On a separate bowl, mix together remaining sugar and butter.

  5. Roll the dough in a flat surface and put the sugar-butter in the center, spread out evenly.

  6. Roll the dough.

  7. Cut (about 1 inch)

  8. Preheat oven at 300 degrees, and bake the rolls for about 15 minutes or until the surface turns golden brown.
