I find that this hearty smoothie works great for breakfast, or even as a snack after a hard workout. To reduce the calorie count, I just use a 60 calorie container of Dannon Light & Fit Nonfat Strawberry Yogurt (it would have made it into the recipe, but the stubbornness of the CC Recipe Analyzer won out in the end). With that small change, the calorie count is reduced to 200 calories per serving.

Recipe Ingredients for Homemade "Chunky Strawberry" Smoothie

1/2 cup nonfat milk
1 1/2 tbsp peanut butter
4 oz strawberry yogurt
1 small banana
3 large strawberries, unsweetened
1/4 cup Kashi Golean Crunch! Honey Almond Flax Cereal

Recipe Directions for Homemade "Chunky Strawberry" Smoothie

  1. -Add first three ingredients into a blender, as well as the strawberries and half of the banana.

  2. -Blend until smooth.

  3. -Top with slices of remaining banana and sprinkle with Kashi cereal.

  4. Enjoy!
