This is my version of a hearty and healthy chili.

Recipe Ingredients for HomeMade Chili

3 lbs. extra lean ground beef
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. pepper
2 tbsp. chili powder
2 tbsp. Roasted Garlic & Peppers
2 tbsp. hot sauce
1 tbsp. extra virgin olive oil
2 peppers, red and green
2 red onions
1/2 lb. cremini mushrooms
3 celery stalks
28 oz. diced tomatoes, canned
28 oz. crushed tomatoes, canned
14 oz. pasta sauce, canned
1194 g baked beans, canned
28 oz. red kidney beans, canned

Recipe Directions for HomeMade Chili

I use a slow cooker. Put ground beef and spices in slow cooker, stir well breaking up beef. Set on high. In the meantime, chop all veggies and drop, stirring well after each addition. When beef is browned and veggies are soft, stir in diced tomatoes. Once it starts to bubble abit, stir in crushed tomatoes and sauce. Let it bubble again, then add the beans. Stir well. Let simmer in slow cooker for at least 2-4hrs.
