This is a variation on 'Better Homes and Gardens' New Cook Book recipe for Homemade Chicken Soup.

Recipe Ingredients for Homemade chicken soup / no salt

10 cups of water
2 lbs. of chicken
1 cup chopped onions
1 cup green onions
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1 cup kidney beans
1 cup green beans
1 cup chopped carrots
1 cup chopped zucchini
3 tablespoons parsley
1/2 teaspoon poultry seasoning

Recipe Directions for Homemade chicken soup / no salt

In large kettle, combine chicken, water, chopped onions, green onions, pepper, kidney beans, green beans, chopped carrots, chopped zucchini, parsley and poultry seasoning. Bring to boiling, simmer, covered, about 3 hours. Grated parmigiano or romano cheese may be added when serving. Remaining soup can be frozen for later use.
