Recipe Ingredients for Homemade Chicken Pot Pie


insides:
1 1/2 lbs chicken (cubed)
10 oz frozen mixed vegetables
12 oz cream of chicken soup

Recipe Directions for Homemade Chicken Pot Pie

  1. Crust (this is a double recipie and makes both bottom and top crust):

  2. combine flour, baking powder, and salt in small bowl; cut in margarine with pastry blender (i use my hands) until mixture resembles course crumbs. Mix in water, 1 tablespoon at a time, to form dough. refrigerate, covered, until ready to use.

  3. roll pastry on floured surface into circle 1 - 1 1/2 inches larger than top of dish, fold ende of pastry under and flut or press with a fork. brush top of pastry lightly with milk.

  4. bake pie at 425 until pastry is browned, about 20 minutes (this is only for the bottom half)

  5. Meanwhile:

  6. cooked chicken in a skillet until no longer pink adding whatever spices you like)

  7. after the chicken is cooked add in the vegatables and cream of chicken soup. cook until heated. When the bottom pie crust is done put the filling in it and roll the top crust on top.

  8. Bske the pie at 375 for 30 minutes. ENJOY!
