We use no added sodium, homemade chicken stock, but this nutritional information does not reflect that. You can you stock from the store. You can also add other herbs or even a little lemon juice. Fresh squeezed, of course. The recipe calls for cooked noodles but we just heat everything, add dried noodles and cook a bit longer.

Recipe Ingredients for Homemade Chicken Noodle Soup

4 cups homemade chicken stock
3/4 cup onion, diced
3/4 cup celery, diced
1 tbls garlic, minced
2 oz whole wheat egg noodles
2 tsp parsley, chopped
1 cup carrots, diced
1 cup potatoes, diced
1 cup corn, frozen

Recipe Directions for Homemade Chicken Noodle Soup

  1. Bring stock to boil for 2 minutes in a large stockpot over high heat.

  2. Add all of the ingredients, except noodles, cook until vegetables are to desired firmness. Add egg noodles and cook until desired firmness.

  3. ENJOY!
