A light, easy, and tasty soup. Can be made Gluten-Free by substituting corn pasta for the egg noodles.

Recipe Ingredients for Homemade Chicken Noodle Soup

3 cups chicken
1 onion, diced
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 carrots, sliced
2 stalks celery, sliced
1 salt, pepper, dried herbs to taste
8 cups water
3 cups cooked egg noodles

Recipe Directions for Homemade Chicken Noodle Soup

  1. Boil chicken in 8 cups water. Remove chicken and let cool; then shred. Reserve water.

  2. In skillet, saute onion and garlic in 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil.

  3. Add all ingredients EXCEPT egg noodles to water and let simmer.

  4. Cook egg noodles according to package directions. Serve with soup.
