Recipe Ingredients for Homemade Chicken Helper

140 g 1/4 box Barilla Plus Elbow
1 lb chicken breast
16 oz chicken stock
1 cup 2% milk
6 tablespoons flour
1 cup shredded cheddar
3/4 cup diced celery
3/4 cup diced onion
1/4 cup olive oil

Recipe Directions for Homemade Chicken Helper

  1. Saute vegetables in olive oil.

  2. Dice chicken (cook first if not using pre-cooked, such as leftover rotisserie) and add to pot.

  3. Whisk flour and chicken stock together; heat and stir until thickened.

  4. Add milk and shredded cheddar.

  5. Mix cooked elbow macaroni and chicken vegetable mixture.

  6. Pour sauce over and mix.

  7. Serve with additional cheese to top.
