quick and easy homemade chicken and dumplings. makes 5 servings. 1 serving equals 1 cup which is approximately 100 grams (the site calculation lists a serving as 588 grams but it is actually 100 grams)

Recipe Ingredients for homemade chicken and dumplings

1 cup flour
12 oz boneless skinless chicken breast
12 oz chicken stock
9 cups water

Recipe Directions for homemade chicken and dumplings

season chicken to taste and bake at 350 deg for 45 min. bring 8 cups water (apprx) to boil. mix flour with remaining 1 cup (apprx) of water to form firm/stiff dough. mix thoroughly (add salt if desired). roll small dough balls in hand then rub between hands to form 3" 'tubes' or role dough out flat then cut into desired lenghts. place dough in boiling water and cook apprx 20 min. reduce heat continue to cook apprx 20 mins. then add chicken as desired (cubed, cut, shredded, etc.). serve warm. season to taste. 5 (1 cup) servings (1 cup=100 grams)
