Recipe Ingredients for Homemade Chicken Broth Soup

1 1/2 cups chicken broth
1 tablespoon chopped onion
2 tablespoons chopped celery
2 tablespoons chopped chicken breast
1/2 teaspoon dried chopped parsley

Recipe Directions for Homemade Chicken Broth Soup

  1. Boil skinned chicken for several minutes and then turn to simmer for two hours.

  2. Remove chicken and all but 1 1/2 cups broth; add vegetables.

  3. Let the soup simmer while deboning poultry. Put the big leg bones back in broth and boil to get calcium into soup.

  4. Chop some of the chicken breast and add two tablespoons chopped meat to soup.
