Recipe Ingredients for Homemade Cherry Bread

30 g fresh yeast
225 ml water
360 g wholewheat flour
90 g sugar
240 g sour cherries
1/2 tsp salt

Recipe Directions for Homemade Cherry Bread

  1. mix yeast with water to dissolve

  2. mix together flour, sugar, salt, then add and mix in yeast water

  3. knead briefly till smooth

  4. work in cherries

  5. rise for 1 hour or doubled in size

  6. divide into 3 loaves, let rise 20 mins or doubled in size again

  7. preheat oven to 200-C

  8. bake 30 minutes or until hollow when tapped

  9. let cool before serving
