This pimiento spread has a much stronger flavor than most others. You can also use no-fat or low-fat sharp cheddar cheese. I have had trouble finding it lately and now use regular cheddar cheese.

Recipe Ingredients for Homemade Central Market Pimiento Cheese Sandwich Spread

8 ounce fat free cream cheese (softened)
8 ounce sharp cheddar cheese (grated)
2 ounce diced pimientos (with juice)
2 tbsp minced garlic (with juice)

Recipe Directions for Homemade Central Market Pimiento Cheese Sandwich Spread

  1. Place the cream cheese, pimientos, and garlic in a food processor. Process until well blended.

  2. Add the cheddar cheese and process just until the cheese is mixed through.

  3. Use 1/4 cup of the spread on one slice of bread. Top with another slice. Enjoy

  4. I use "Earth Grains 35 Wheat Bread" for my sandwiches. 2 slices are only 70 calories.
