My Aunts recipe for delicous carmels.

Recipe Ingredients for Homemade Carmels

1 cup sugar
2 cups butter
2 2/3 cups brown sugar
14 ounces sweetened condensed milk
1 teaspoon vanilla

Recipe Directions for Homemade Carmels

In Heavy saucepan, Combine all ingredients except vanilla. Stirring constantly, cook candy until it reaches firm-ball stage (240 F) Remove from heat and add vanilla. Mix well and pour into a well buttered 9X13 pan. Cool and cut into small peices. Wrap in wax paper.
