Recipe Ingredients for homemade cabbage soup

1/2 head of shredded cabbage
1/2 cup of shredded carrots
2 tbsps of extra virgin olive oil
1 tsp pepper
4 cups of chicken broth

Recipe Directions for homemade cabbage soup

In a pot over high heat saute the shredded cabbage and carrots in the extra virgin olive oil with pepper for about 3-5 minutes until cabbage acquires a "transparent" look. Add the chicken broth and reduce heat to low letting the soup simmer for about 10 minutes.
