White buns, approximately 3 inches diameter

Recipe Ingredients for Homemade buns

1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup crisco
1 tsp salt
1 egg
2 cups water
1 tblsp yeast
5 cups flour

Recipe Directions for Homemade buns

  1. combine first four ingredients

  2. add lukewarm water and yeast and mix

  3. add flour 2 cups at a time and mix well until not sticky

  4. bake at 350 for approx 15-18 minutes

  5. if preferred 1/2 of the white flour can be substituted with whole wheat flour
