can have it 50% or white bread but if you use 100% whole wheat the bread won't rise as high

Recipe Ingredients for Homemade Bread

2 cups warm water
1 tbsp sugar
2 tbsp yeast, level unpacked
1 cup boiling water
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup oil
2 tsp salt
1 cup cold water
4 cups whole wheat flour
4 cups all purpose flour

Recipe Directions for Homemade Bread

  1. mix warm water & sugar together

  2. sprinkle yeast over top and let sit 10 minutes to proof

  3. mix together the boiling water then sugar, oil & salt

  4. then add the cold water

  5. after the 10 minutes add the water mixture to the yeast mixture

  6. using a whisk add in some flour 1 cup at a time until it becomes dough like

  7. then use your hands and make dough, knead until soft and not sticky

  8. cover & let rise in a warm place until doubled

  9. punch it down and let rise again or if no time just use

  10. makes 4 loaves baked at 350 F for about 40 min until golden and hollow or

  11. 4 dozen buns baked at 350 F for about 20 min until again golden and hollow-can mix and match buns & loaves or use the dough for other things...like grauburgers, mmm yum yum
