homemade yeast bread, no preservatives

Recipe Ingredients for Homemade bread

1/4 cup milk
5 teaspoons sugar
1 teaspoons salt
5 teaspoons butter
1 package active dry yeast
3 cups flour

Recipe Directions for Homemade bread

  1. Mix yeast with 1 cup water

  2. add sugar, butter (melted) salt and milk

  3. slowly add flour until barely sticky

  4. kneed on a floured surface for 10 min

  5. then place in a bowl, cover and allow to rise for 1 hr

  6. after 1 hr, should be double sized. punch a couple times, then put back out on a floured surface, shape into a retangular shape, roll about the size of your pan. place in the pan, seam side down. cover and allow to rise for 1 hr.

  7. then bake at 400 for 30 min.
