Recipe Ingredients for HOME-Peanut Butter Cookies

1 1/2 cup flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
10 tbsp. butter
1/2 cup natural peanut butter
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 large egg
1 tsp. vanilla extract

Recipe Directions for HOME-Peanut Butter Cookies

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.

  2. Combine the flour, baking powder, and salt in a small bowl.

  3. In a large bowl, with an electric mixer, beat together the butter, peanut butter, and both sugars until light and fluffy, about 3 minutes. Add the egg and vanilla and beat for 2 minutes. On low speed, gradually add the flour mixture, beating until the ingredients are thoroughly combined.

  4. Roll portions of the dough (about 1 tbsp. per cookie) into balls, slightly flatten, and place2 inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheets. Using the back of a fork, lightly press a crisscross pattern into each cookie.

  5. Bake the cookies until the edges are lightly browned, 10-12 minutes. Cool on the cookie sheets on wire racks.
