Recipe Ingredients for Home-made whole wheat bread

1 tablespoon yeast
1/2 cup sugar
1 1/2 cups warm water
3 cups whole wheat flour
3 cups bread flour
1/4 cup flax seed
1/4 cup millet
1/4 cup honey
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1 teaspoon salt

Recipe Directions for Home-made whole wheat bread

  1. Combine yeast, sugar, and warm water to proof yeast. Dissolve yeast and sugar; let sit for about 10 minutes or until foamy.

  2. Combine flours, flax seed, millet, honey, salt, and vegetable oil in large mixing bowl.

  3. Add yeast mixture and mix until all ingredients come together into a ball.

  4. Knead dough 10 minutes or until elastic. Place in a covered bowl with a little oil for 1 hr.

  5. After rising, roll out and make two loaves. Cover loaves with a cloth, and let rise 1 hr.

  6. Bake at 350 for 35-40 minutes, or until tops are browned.
