Bread made from freshly milled whole grains and honey. One batch makes five large loaves.

Recipe Ingredients for Home-made Whole Wheat Bread

1/3 cup honey
1/3 cup canola oil
6 cups water
2 tbsp yeast
1 1/2 tbsp salt
1 1/2 cups ground flax seed
12 cups whole wheat flour

Recipe Directions for Home-made Whole Wheat Bread

  1. Place honey, oil, water, yeast and 6 cups flour in Bosch mixer.

  2. Mix well and let sponge until it rises nearly to the top of the bowl.

  3. Turn on mixer and salt and ground flax seed.

  4. Continue by adding flour until the dough pulls away from the sides of the bowl.

  5. Let knead for 10 minutes.

  6. Divide dough into 5 equal portions and roll out loaves.

  7. Place in large (9x5 inch) bread pans and let rise to desired height.

  8. Bake at 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes.
