Gluten free, and totally free of preservatives or anything unnatural. Add any spices you'd like- I added black pepper and garlic. You can even make them spicy! I made four and then froze the rest.

Recipe Ingredients for Home Made Veggie Burgers

1 red bell pepper
1 yellow onion
2 medium carrots
1 cup brown rice
2 cups button mushrooms
1 small squash

Recipe Directions for Home Made Veggie Burgers

  1. Heat oven to 350 degrees.

  2. Cook brown rice (half a cup dry, one cup cooked) in a rice cooker or according to package.

  3. Use a food processor to get all the veggies nice and small.

  4. Mix rice and veggies together in a medium bowl.

  5. Pack them like you would regular burgers (you can decide on the size- I made them palm sized but I have small palms!).

  6. Spray a cookie sheet with cooking oil and bake the veggie burgers for 30 minutes or until they look 'cooked'.
