serving is 20 ounces and we chilled the stock to remove the fat from the surface. also noye this makes a large amount of soup. and it takes about a day to make its enough to have for lunch all week

Recipe Ingredients for home made soup

6 lbs skinless chickens
1 1/2 white onion
1/2 yellow onion
4 green onion
8 roma tomatoes
6 cloves garlic
2 lb carrots
1 green pepper
1/2 gallon water

Recipe Directions for home made soup

  1. boil the whole chicken for about 3 hours what ever seasoning you prefer

  2. while waiting for chx prep your veggies and placethem in fridge. save veg scap dont thow out.

  3. next when chx is done cooking remove from water to cool.

  4. throw the veggie scraps in broth.(dont worry we'll be straining it all later)

  5. remove bones from chx and cut meat to prefered size. store meat in fridge

  6. with the back side of your knife whack the bones untill they fracture

  7. place bones back in broth and boil covered untill bones are soft/ and vegie scraps are too

  8. strain broth into another pot

  9. remove from heat and place in fridge long enough for the fat and grease to gel on top.

  10. remove fat and grease

  11. now you have only broth in your pot. make sure it is well seasoned

  12. return meat and veggies to your pot. cook until desired consistancy. you can add noodles if you like but this makes a large amount of soup. if you dont serv soon noodles will get moosh in the fridge
