Healthy version of Mom's meatloaf

Recipe Ingredients for Home Made Meatloaf

1 lb ground beef, 96 % lean
1 lb ground turkey, 97 % lean
34 grams onion soup mix
1 egg, large
1/2 c water
1/4 cup catsup
1 cup bread crumbs
8 oz tomato sauce

Recipe Directions for Home Made Meatloaf

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Mix beef and turkey in a large bowl.

  2. Mix in onion soup mix. Lightly beat egg and water then add to meat. Mix together briefly. (Do not over handle) Mix in catsup. Add bread crumbs a little at a time until well incorporated. Shape into 2 loaves. Place on a roasting pan sprayed with cooking spray. Bake 45 minutes. Remove from oven and spread tomato sauce over each loaf. Return to oven for 15 additional minutes. Let rest at room temperature for 10 minutes.
