A basic hummus that can be used for a lot of other recipe. Mix with protein and stuff peppers and broil, add to salads, use as a topping for high quality bread.

Recipe Ingredients for Home Made Hummus

1/4 cup olive oil
1/4 cup garlic
8 cups chickpeas, cooked no salt added
2 tbsp tabasco sauce
1 tsp black pepper
1 tsp white pepper
1/4 tsp soy sauce
1/2 cup water

Recipe Directions for Home Made Hummus

  1. Cook the beans and drain or substitute low sodium alternatives that are already canned and cooked.

  2. Finely chop the garlic.

  3. Add all of the ingredients to a food processor and blend adding water till the right consistency is reached.

  4. Chill and serve as required.

  5. Will keep in refrigerator for up to a month.
