Delicious loaf of fluffy white bread

Recipe Ingredients for Home Made Half-Loaf

2 cup Gold Medal All Purpose Flour
7 grams Yeast
3 3/10 fl oz Milk
1 1/2 fl oz Water
1/4 tsp Baking Powder
1/2 tsp Sea Salt

Recipe Directions for Home Made Half-Loaf

  1. Mix flour, baking powder and salt together in a bowl and then make a well in the centre.

  2. In a separate jug, measure out the water and milk and heat slightly (warm, not hot or you'll kill the yeast)

  3. Add yeast to warm milk and stir to blend completely.

  4. Add milk mixture to the dry ingredients pouring into the well.

  5. Mix together until it forms a soft, sticky mass. Plop out onto a lightly floured surface and kneed until elastic.

  6. Let prove in a warm place in a covered bowl for an hour or until double in size.

  7. Pre-heat the oven to 190C.

  8. Put dough into a bread tin or form into a "rustic" loaf on a baking sheet. Slice "vents" in the top of the bread.

  9. Bake for 30-40 minutes until golden all over.

  10. Let rest for 10-15mins and ENJOY!
