Use fresh cherries; this is a double batch. Do not put more than 46 oz in the Kitchenaide churn. Use curled and chopped chocolate baking bar from Hershey.

Recipe Ingredients for Home Made Cherries Garcia Ice Cream

3 eggs
1 1/2 cups of eggbeaters
6 cups whole milk
28 oz sweetened condensed milk
3 oz vanilla pudding
1 cup semi sweet chocolate chips
3/4 cup cherry
2 tsp vanilla

Recipe Directions for Home Made Cherries Garcia Ice Cream

  1. Batter should not exceed 46 oz.

  2. Whip all eggs in blender

  3. Use microwave to heat 4 cups milk to around 160. Don't let boil; until it reaches a thin custard consistency.

  4. Add hot milk slowly to eggs in blender with blender running. It must get to a custard consistency.

  5. Put egg/milk mix back in microwave bowl and heat mixture gently and slowly, whipping with wire whisk frequently until it reaches custard consistancy. (Don't worry if it overcooks and gets lumpy. Put that in the food processor and process the heck out of it til it's smooth)

  6. Stir in extracts and refrigerate til cold.

  7. When chilled and ready to churn, mix 2 cup of milk with pudding mix and condensed milk until smooth. Mix this mix into the egg/milk. Taste and adjust (add more extracts if you want)

  8. Assemble the churn on the mixer, start on stir, and using a spouted bowl, pour ice cream mixture into freezing bowl. Churn for about 15 - 20 minutes.

  9. Right before ending, add chocolate bits/curls and chopped fresh cherries

  10. Freeze or eat immediately.
