Made with my homemade soup base of crushed tomatoes, peppers onion and fresh garden parsley and basil.

Recipe Ingredients for Homade Goulash

1 1/2 lbs lean ground beef
1 quart crushed tomatoes
1 small onion
1/2 small green pepper
1/2 cup parmesan cheese
1 1/2 cup dry macaroni

Recipe Directions for Homade Goulash

  1. Brown beef and drain

  2. saute onion and pepper in with meat

  3. Add soup base or crushed tomatoes (1 quart)

  4. Boil for 1 minute then turn down heat to simmer.

  5. Meanwhile boil 1 1/2 cups dry macaroni. When done drain, rinse and add to tomato beef mixture, add parmesan cheese reserving some to put on top at the table.

  6. Simmer for at least 10 minutes to allow the mixture to marry...... enjoy
