Recipe Ingredients for Hollandaise (McDougall Program)

1/4 cup cashews
1 cup water
2 tablespoons lemon juice
1 teaspoon nutritional yeast
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
1/8 teaspoon salt
1/16 teaspoon turmeric
1 pinch paprika
1 tablespoon cornstarch
1 pinch ground pepper

Recipe Directions for Hollandaise (McDougall Program)

Place cashews and 1/2 c of the water in a blender. Process briefly, then gradually add the remaining water. Process until the mixture is very smooth. Pour into a saucepan. Add the lemon juice, nutritional yeast, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, turmeric, and paprika. Mix well. Add the cornstarch mixture and mix well. Bring slowly to a boil, stirring constantly, until thickened. Add pepper to taste. Serve over vegetables, grains or potatoes.
