Rich flavorful corn with a crunchy top; nice for a special occasion

Recipe Ingredients for Holiday Deviled Corn

16 oz whole kernel corn, drained
16 oz creamed corn
2 T butter
3 T flour
1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup sour cream
2 tsp. sugar
2 eggs, well beaten
1 T minced chives
1/2 tsp. dry mustard
1/4 tsp. cayenne pepper
1/2 tsp. paprika
1/2 cup Panko bread crumbs
1/4 cup melted butter

Recipe Directions for Holiday Deviled Corn

Blend flour and butter in saucepan. Cook until bubbly and add milk and sour cream. Whisk until thickened. Season with salt, paprika, dry mustard, sugar, and cayenne. INto the sauce, add corn, eggs, and chives. Mix until just blended. Pour into a buttered casserole dish. In small saute pan, melt remaining 2 T butter and add Panko bread crumbs. Stir until they are all coated in butter. Remove from heat and let cool. Top with casserole with Panko bread crumbs. Bake at 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes or until Panko crumbs are nicely browned.
