From Taste of Home Cooking magazine for Dec-Jan. I used BBQ sauce as I didn't have hoisin sauce, but it sure tasted good! Can be grilled or broiled.

Recipe Ingredients for Hoisin-Marinated Salmon Steaks

1/4 cup reduced sodium soy sauce
1/4 cup barbeque sauce
3 scallions, chopped
3 tablespoons lemon juice
1 tablespoon lemon zest
1/2 tsp black pepper
1 lb sockeye salmon, skin on

Recipe Directions for Hoisin-Marinated Salmon Steaks

  1. Combine first 6 ingredients in a resealable plastic bag. Add salmon, seal and turn to coat. Refrigerate for 30 minutes, turning once or twice.

  2. Pre-heat grill or broiler. Place rack about 5 inches from heat for broiling. Grease grill rack (if grilling).

  3. Remove salmon from marinade and discard marinade. Place salmon in an oven-safe dish or on a foil-lined baking sheet if broiling. If grilling, place directly on greased grill rack.

  4. Grill or broil 12-15 minutes or until salmon is cooked through and flakes easily when tested with a fork.
