Recipe Ingredients for High Protein Mac and Cheese

3 tablespoons butter
3 tablespoons flour
91 g non-fat dry milk (1 envelope)
3 cups 2% milk
375 g Barilla Multigrain pasta (1 box)
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

Recipe Directions for High Protein Mac and Cheese

  1. Melt the butter over medium heat and stir in flour - stir until smooth and bubbly (about 1 minute).

  2. Blend milk powder and milk and add to roux.

  3. Cook and stir over medium heat until thick and bubbling.

  4. Stir in cheese, slowly.

  5. Cook pasta as directed; drain and add cheese sauce. Add salt to taste.
