Dense bread that can be thinly sliced and provides 4 grams of fiber per one ounce serving.

Recipe Ingredients for High Fiber Bread

1 T yeast
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup milk
50 grams honey
20 grams vital wheat gluten
15 grams oil
1 cup wheat bran
1 cup whole wheat flour
1 3/4 cup white flour
60 grams benefiber
1 tsp. salt

Recipe Directions for High Fiber Bread

  1. Dissolve the yeast in the warmed milk and water.

  2. Mix in honey, oil, salt.

  3. Add dry ingredients and mix thoroughly.

  4. Knead in machine or by hand for at least 5 minutes.

  5. Oil bread pan, shape dough and place in warm place to rise for at least and hour

  6. Bake at 350 for 30 minutes. This is a heavy loaf that may not double due to the fiber.
